Vermont Yet Again

I've been in Vermont for almost two weeks and the weather has been perfect.  Hot and sunny most of the time! Jordan received word that his cartilage transplant was a go! We only had a few days of warning. I caught a Saturday flight and spent the next day with my parents traveling to Newport in the northeast kingdom of Vermont. Beautiful day for a ride. Lunch at the Eastside Restaurant on the deck.

A side trip to Derby to see the 'wildlife'.

Monday was surgery. All went well. Jordan has 6 weeks with no weight on his knee and close to six months to full recovery. PT already to keep his muscles limber. Thanks to Joel at PT 360 in Williston. Lots of rest is required as well!

This is Riley being cute. We have spent a lot of time together.

Our twice daily walk. We both enjoy!

She loves to snuggle!

Riley thought it was fun to hang out in the loft at great grandma's house.

Loving the price of gas at GoGo in Essex. Down to 2.24 today!

One of the roads less traveled by ...

I met my Aunt Jane at the Champlain Valley Fair for some fair food!

The sand sculpture is always amazing!

Earlier this spring I took a picture of this tree covered in blossoms.

Fuchsia geraniums!

A small needlepoint to pass the time. My first attempt.

A second project.

While I was away Dan held down the fort. He went to the races and a baseball game.

Las Vegas 51's last home game for the season.

He dug out some stumps in the backyard. And bought a grapefruit tree.

A fresh blank slate. The grapefruit tree is going here somewhere.

Already has fruit on it. We need to get a cool planter for it.

Finally we saw the episode of Fool Us with Penn and Teller that we went to a few months ago. I hope the lady sitting right in front of us (who pitched a fit about her seat) got to see the show, she got on TV! Woo Hoo!

Back in Vermont over Labor Day we broke a record! It was 94 and HUMID!

Here is irony for you: notice the 'feels like' temps and the humidity.

I guess that's all the news for now. Enjoy the cooler temperatures Vermonters I'll be leaving soon! I was quite happy it was hot while I was here.

It's all about the journey.
